NERD, the group of Pharrell Williams, Chad Hugo and Shay Haley, author of 'She Wants to Move', has advanced his comeback in recent days by hanging posters of "No One Really Ever Dies" (the phrase that hides the acronyms of his name) for the Tyler festival, the Creator Flog Gnaw, which is held in Los Angeles.
The return of N.E.R.D materializes today with the release of a new single, 'Lemon', where they are accompanied by an exceptional vocalist, Rihanna. The song, in the style of Pharrell, is a skeletal and minimalist funk, and in it the Barbadian offers a rap charismatic and full of attitude. It is not the first time that Rihanna and Pharrell collaborate, as this 2012 Rihanna tweet proves, but it is the first time that a collaboration of theirs sees the light.
'Lemon' is also presented with a video clip featuring a woman who dances to the rhythm of the song inside a recreational room. Curiously Rihanna appears only at the beginning of the video rapando to this same person. N.E.R.D do not make an appearance. The group, by the way, has not released an album since 2010, when 'Nothing' came out, although in 2014 it released a song for the SpongeBob movie, 'Squeeze Me'.
